The Pointe On Vermont

Project Overview

A Measure HHH development, the community offers 50-unit affordable housing with 25 units of permanent supportive housing (PSH) for individuals experiencing homelessness or transitioning from homelessness. The remaining apartment units are designated for individuals and families below 60% of the area median income.

This services-enriched community is a local solution to a local issue, with an emphasis on housing homeless individuals from the area. On-site supportive services and property staff is on hand to support residents. Green building methods were utilized during the development process, and the ground floor has a meeting space and music center/recording studio for community programs.

Project Overview

L.A County’s first 100% affordable housing shipping container apartment building. Firestone Development consist of 20 units, it was the first project in which a government in L.A. County entered into a master lease.  Under the lease, nonprofit agencies assume all operating costs including management fees, insurance, maintenance, pest control, security and vacancy losses. 

Firestone Development was a part of Pathway Home, a county program to replace recreational vehicle encampments with permanent supportive housing. Los Angeles County moved 20 homeless residents from an RV encampment into Firestone Development.
